Review of the MuKappa Winter Retreat

The I’m thankful I could attend the MuKappa retreat, both for the familiar faces during a few days of social isolation (my roommate was out of town and I was under a travel quarantine) and for the content itself, particularly the grief seminar.  The grief talk was incredibly timely for me, both helping me to name a few griefs which hit this past month and to begin processing some “grief blocks” related to reentry which resurfaced recently for me.

I can’t stress how grateful I am that these retreats are faith-based and safe spaces to address struggles related to the TCK experience. The retreat has been a life-giving weekend for me and has helped me along in my journey as a Christian disciple with a cross cultural upbringing. I know they touch many other people as well.
