MEET OUR TEAM
Staff are passionate about serving the unique interests and needs of students with intercultural life experiences through our work with MuKappa Chapters across the country.
Each of the MuKappa administrative staff is interested and available to assist you in any way we can. Please feel free to contact us with questions about locating a MuKappa Chapter near you, starting a MuKappa Chapter at your college, or finding a way to connect with other TCKs. We are here to encourage you in your life’s journey.

Kai Gibbons | Director of Strategic Partnering, Cru
Kai was born abroad while her parents served at an international school. Though her family moved to Minnesota when she was three, her life has remained deeply influenced by international culture. During her freshman year at Marshall University, where she played soccer, Kai made the decision to follow Christ through the ministry of Cru. After graduating, she joined staff with Cru and has since served in various roles. She now works as the Strategic Partnering Director in Cru’s campus ministry and lives in Orlando, FL, with her husband, who serves in International Missions, and their two children, Jairus (9) and Talia (7). Kai enjoys traveling and visiting Disney with family and friends.
Kathy Kurda Petrash | Director of Strategic Partnering, Cru
Kathy grew up in the Chicago area in a Polish immigrant family, living in a multi-generational household. A significant part of her childhood included visits to family in Poland as well as participating in cultural activities locally. It was at Northwestern University that she came to faith in Jesus and became involved in the ministry of Cru. After graduating from Northwestern with a degree in Economics, she spent two years with Cru in Berlin, Germany and still goes overseas every chance she gets. Kathy currently serves as a Strategic Partnering Director in Cru, working with Christian Colleges across the country. She lives in Evanston, IL with her husband and loves all things outdoors!
